Community Guidelines

Local Connections USA is built on trust. These guidelines exist to keep our platform safe, respectful, and genuinely useful for every member of our community.

By using Local Connections USA — whether submitting an event, sharing a story, listing a business, or simply browsing — you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban, depending on severity. We moderate in good faith and welcome feedback if you believe a decision was made in error.

General Community Conduct

Treat every member with respect, regardless of background, belief, or opinion.
No harassment, bullying, threats, or personal attacks of any kind.
No hate speech, slurs, or content that demeans any person or group.
No spam, repetitive posts, or unsolicited promotions outside designated areas.
No impersonation of other people, businesses, or organizations.
Keep conversations constructive — disagreement is welcome, hostility is not.

Community Events

Events must be real, local, and open to community members.
No misleading event titles, dates, or locations.
No events promoting illegal activity, adult content, or harmful substances.
Commercial events are welcome but must be clearly identified as such.
Organizers are responsible for keeping event details accurate and up to date.
Events that are cancelled or postponed should be updated or removed promptly.

Community Stories & Faith Stories

Stories must be your own — do not submit content written by or about others without their consent.
No graphic violence, explicit sexual content, or disturbing imagery.
Faith stories are a space for personal sharing — not debate, conversion, or criticism of other beliefs.
Respect the diversity of faith traditions represented in our community.
Stories containing false or defamatory claims about real people will be removed.
All submissions are reviewed before publishing. We reserve the right to decline any submission.

Community Ideas

Ideas should be constructive and aimed at improving the community.
No ideas that promote illegal activity, discrimination, or harm to others.
Voting is for genuine support — do not manipulate votes through coordinated efforts.
Duplicate ideas may be merged or removed at moderator discretion.
Criticism of existing ideas should be respectful and focused on the idea, not the person.

Business Listings & Directory

All business information must be accurate, current, and truthful.
No fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, or misleading claims.
Businesses must honor any discounts or offers listed on the platform.
Adult businesses, illegal services, and multi-level marketing schemes are not permitted.
Listings found to be fraudulent or deceptive will be removed without refund.
Paid listings receive a "Verified Member" badge — this indicates payment, not an endorsement of services.

Prohibited Content

Illegal content of any kind, including content that violates copyright or privacy laws.
Content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors in any way.
Doxxing — sharing private personal information about others without consent.
Coordinated inauthentic behavior, including fake accounts or bot activity.
Content designed to deceive, defraud, or manipulate community members.
Malware, phishing links, or any content intended to compromise user security.

How to Report a Violation

If you see content that violates these guidelines, please contact us directly. We review all reports and take action as quickly as possible. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith.
